Southern Italian Clam Chowder

Ingredients

  • 2 14 oz. Contadina® Diced Tomatoes
  • 8 oz. Contadina® Tomato Sauce
  • 2 bacon slices chopped
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup carrot chopped
  • 1/2 cup celery chopped
  • 8 oz. clam juice
  • 1/2 tsp. fresh rosemary chopped
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • 13 oz. clams chopped, drained

Directions

1. COOK bacon in large saucepan over medium-high heat 1 minute. Add onion, carrot and celery; cook 2 to 3 minutes. Stir in undrained tomatoes, tomato sauce, clam juice, rosemary and pepper.

2. BRING to boil. Reduce heat and simmer 15 minutes. Stir in clams and juice; cook 5 minutes or until heated through.
