Quick Contadina Pizza Sauce

Made completely with on–hand pantry ingredients, this zesty sauce requires no chopping or cooking! Now it is easier to enjoy homemade pizza more often.
- 1 can (6 oz.) Contadina® Tomato Paste
- 1 tsp. dried oregano, crushed
- 1 tsp. dried basil, crushed
- 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp. onion powder
- 1/2 tsp. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. black pepper
Combine tomato paste, 1/2 cup water and remaining ingredients in a medium bowl; mix well. Set aside about 15 minutes for flavors to develop.
NOTE: Recipe can be doubled.
TIP: To develop a richer, sweet tomato flavor, heat 1 Tbsp. olive oil in a small saucepan over medium heat. Add tomato paste and cook, stirring constantly, about 1 to 2 minutes, until paste browns slightly. Remove from heat and use paste as directed in the recipe.
Variation: To make PARMESAN PIZZA SAUCE, prepare recipe as directed, except stir in 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese.
